Welcome back

Wow! What a busy few weeks we have had since returning from the Christmas holidays. Our feet haven’t touched the ground but I am sure things will settle down now.
The class have been amazing and have risen to every challenge we have faced.
the furniture is starting to arrive and things are starting to go up on the walls at last. We have now got mrs Turner as our class TA and she is settling really well and providing great support for the children.
The children have performed admirably in their SATs despite all the change and I am so impressed with what they have done.
We are now settling into our topic of ‘The Romans’ and have been looking at Italy and Rome. The maps have been out and the IPads have been put to good use carrying out lots of research.
In literacy the children have been really engaged with the amazing ‘Night Zookeeper’ project and have produced some amazing artwork and character descriptions which They will be posting later.
Maths has been flying quite literally as we used the amazing ‘Angry Birds’ to practice our place value. The children engaged so well with this we actually got to working in tens of thousands whic is amazing at year 3/4 level.
Keep up the good work and let’s hope the weather improves so we can get out and do some gardening.
